Allianz Life Indonesia Offered the Most Comprehensive Critical Illness Protection in Indonesia CI 100

For the first time in Indonesia, PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (“Allianz Life”) launched Allianz SmartLink CI 100, the most comprehensive rider for critical illness to cover 100 critical illnesses conditions. Attending the launching at Plaza Bapindo was Joachim Wessling, CEO of Allianz Life Indonesia, along with Todd Swihart, Director of Allianz Life Indonesia and Ginawati Djuandi, Chief Agency Officer Allianz Life Indonesia.

“Critical illness fears everyone. People living in big cities have a high exposure to various health risks, with little or no exercise because their work pressure forced them to sit behind the desk all day. Therefore, it is highly important for them to have a healthy lifestyle and protect themselves with insurance cover as a preventive measure which allows them to live their life 100%,” said Joachim Wessling, President Director Allianz Life Indonesia.

A recent survey conducted by Allianz to 1.944 respondents in 11 big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Manado, Bali, Surabaya and Makassar showed that 95% respondents affirmed that they are aware of critical illnesses risk and the possibility of high expense for medication and treatment.

Allianz Smartlink CI100 answered the need of a comprehensive critical illness. With more critical illnesses coverage, the protection also covers early stage to late/advance stage. Some critical illnesses will be covered until catastrophic stage. The insured will be covered up to 100 years old and have a multiple claims facility during the insurance policy period. Additional benefit of SmartLink CI100 is an extra coverage fund if the insured needs Angioplasty and is diagnosed with diabetes complication.
From the claim record of Allianz Life, the five most claimed critical illnesses in the last two years were cancer, stroke, heart disease, kidney failure and benign brain tumor. The fact is critical illnesses have stages with various types. “We see a high number of critical illness claims every year. Around 38.5% of claims throughout 2012 were from critical illness claims. With early stage coverage, critical illnesses can be diagnosed earlier so the insured could have prompt and better treatment,” explained Todd Swihart.

A critical illness is not only feared for its condition or the kind of illness, but also the high expenses during medication and treatment. “With a high expense for medication and various kinds of treatments needed, there is no need to wait any longer for a precaution. We hope Allianz Smartlink CI100 will be well-accepted as our commitment in delivering result for customer,” said Joachim.
